Deniz Ozensoy

Deniz is an associate, with a growing practice in international commercial dispute resolution and general corporate and securities law practice. Deniz has a master’s degree in international dispute resolution from one of the world’s leading institutions in international studies, and he uses this knowledge to represent his clients in international commercial and investment disputes, including at jurisdictional challenges to arbitral awards in setting aside proceedings.

Prior to joining Lotz & Company, Deniz graduated from the University of Chicago earning a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in East Asian History and Languages, and Economics. He then obtained a Master of Arts in International Studies from the joint degree program at the Johns Hopkins University – Nanjing University Center for Sino-American Studies, where he wrote an honor’s thesis in Chinese on international commercial dispute resolution at the World Trade Organization. Deniz obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia with a concentration in business law, and was the president of the Allard IP Law Club from 2020 to 2021, during which time he significantly expanded the event programming and membership of the club.
